This handheld UVA radiometer can be used in monitoring UV lamp intensity and aging; measuring outdoor UVA; testing acrylic shield transmission; testing window film and tint transmission; and testing eyewear UVA blocking capabilities. The meter’s sensor consists of a GaAsP photodiode and a UV filter. The sensor is completely insensitive to visible light longer than 400 nm and infrared radiation since its spectral response only covers the UVA range from 320 to 400 nm. Simply aim the sensor window directly at a UV source and press the meter’s single button to obtain a reading. NIST Traceable accuracy.
